Jonesborough Star Wars Day on May 4th
Jonesborough is excited to host the second annual Star Wars Day: May the Fourth Be With You event on Saturday, May 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. This event takes place throughout downtown Jonesborough.
Attendees can purchase tickets to enjoy themed snacks, drinks and souvenirs throughout downtown. Activities include a Jedi training obstacle course with Knockerball, encounters with tauntauns (llamas), a movie screening, costumed characters along Main Street, crafts, photo opportunities, a retro arcade, bounty hunting and a costume contest. This will be a kid-friendly event and the beverages served at stops will be non-alcoholic. Attendees are also encouraged to dress as their favorite character.
There will be “Imperial Credit” cards, with 10 credits for $20. They can be purchased online at Jonesborough.com/starwarsday, by calling the Jonesborough Visitors Center at 423.753.1010, in person at the Jonesborough Visitors Center before Saturday, May 4 and in front of the Washington County Courthouse on the day of the event. Attendees will use their credits for a treat, souvenir or activity with one credit in exchange for each. Attendees can pick up tickets early on Friday, May 3 at the Jonesborough Visitors Center, located at 117 Boone Street, or in front of the courthouse on Saturday, May 4.
