Greene County Heritage Trust 2025 Annual Christmas Dinner
The Heritage Trust 2025 Annual Christmas Dinner includes gathering in the General Morgan Inn lobby beginning at 6 p.m., with light refreshments, followed at 6:30 p.m. by a multi-course seated dinner served in the General Morgan Inn Ballroom, and a special program. This year the program will focus on the nationwide celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Founding of the United States. The speaker will be Daniel Shippey, one of the most renowned portrayers and interpreters of General George Washington. Mr. Shippey was for several years the official George Washington at Mount Vernon. Appearing "in character" and in appropriate period attire at the Heritage Trust Dinner, he will comment from the perspective of General Washington on the nation's Founding era, the Declaration of Independence, and the Revolutionary War itself. As was the case at Mount Vernon, Mr. Shippey will be accompanied by his wife, Kelly, in the role of Martha Washington.
