Some 26 authors will entertain and inspire you. Our schedule and registration for all events can be accessed through our website https://cmlitfest.net. The festival will take place from Thursday, September 5th to Saturday, September 7th in downtown Burnsville, NC.

We are kicking off the festival on Thursday evening with a special presentation by Cornbread and Tortillas, an exciting and fun show in English and Spanish that features music, dance, and stories from throughout the Americas.

On Friday, we will host New York Times Bestselling Author Angeline Boulley in conversation with Annette Saunooke Clapsaddle as our keynote event. Tickets for the keynote event are $25 and can be purchased through our website.

Our fiction, poetry, memoir, and non-fiction workshops require pre-registration and always fill up quickly. The cost of each workshop is $35.

With the exception of the workshops and keynote event, all festival events are free and open to the public. Join us for a fun and inspiring celebration of literature and each other in the beautiful Carolina mountains!
