Nuclear Prayer Day Peaceful Walk and Blessing of the Waters
Nuclear Prayer Day is held annually on the anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima Japan. The United Religions Initiative (URI), Appalachian Peace Education Center (APEC), and Voice for a World Free of Nuclear Weapons are co-sponsoring a peaceful walk along the Linear Trail in Erwin. The public is invited to participate in our local observation of this annual event.
