About the speaker:
Khia currently serves as the coordinator of outreach for the Counseling Center and as an adjunct professor in the Clinical Counseling program.
They earned their Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Walden University in 2018 and are pursuing their PhD in Transformative Social Change at Saybrook University. Khia is trained at Level 2 in Brainspotting, a mindfulness modality related to EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Additionally, she completed her 200-hour Yoga Certification through Downtown Yoga's Black Yogi scholarship in 2020.
