The 33rd annual Wise County Famous Fall Fling will be held in downtown Wise, Va., the weekend of Oct. 8th and 9th. Set against the backdrop of the historic Wise County Courthouse and fall foliage at its peak, the event includes mountain music and food, more than 100 vendors, a 5K race, a fun bike ride, a cornhole competition, an exceptional Kids’ Corner and the winners of photography and art contests on display. The musical line-up at the new Big Glades amphitheater includes Taylor Cochran, Ron Short and the Possum Playboys, Robin and Dan Kessinger, the White Top Mountain Band, Appalachian Highlanders Pipes & Drums and many, many more, along with a “Pickin’ Porch” jam session all weekend on the porch of the historic Inn at Wise.
