STRUMFEST 2012 takes place on Oct 6th at 7:00 PM at TA Dugger Jr High and is a celebration of Carter County's Musical Roots. The event is sponsored by the CARTER COUNTY BANK, WBEJ, the Elizabethton Star, and The Elizabethton Carter County Community Foundation. It will have three local bands performing “Old Time,” “Blue Grass” and “Country”. The bands are TV Barnett and his Roan Mountain Moonshiners, The Fiddlin' Carson Peters Band and Cooking with Grass which features Jeff Sharp and Sherriff Mathes . Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at Carter County Bank branches, the Carter County Chamber of Commerce or by calling 543 -1938. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door.
