Shakti in the Mountains plans to launch their winter season with a weekend full of Family Centered events. Shakti welcomes the community to celebrate the winter season and holidays on December 2nd & 3rd. Shakti kicks off the weekend with a Winter Open house on December 2nd, starting at 5pm-7pm. At the Winter Open house the community is welcome to meet the Shakti staff and facilitators. Shakti will be offering a wide range of classes, workshops, and family events to fill those long winter evenings. Friday evening Shakti welcomes KRI and hettie for their December House Concert. KRI and hettie are based out of Louisville, KY with a unique blend of Poetry, Folk, and Neo Sol. When asked about Shakti’s Open House and Concert Kim Bushore-Maki, founder of Shakti in the Mountains stated, “We decided to host an Open House so the public would have an opportunity to meet our talented facilitators and ask any questions about out winter program. It was icing on the cake when KRI and hettie agreed to perform on the same night. There wonderful uplifting and empowering messages set the perfect tone for what we are creating at Shakti in the Mountains.” Saturday Shakti host their first Annual Woman’s Craft fair. The fair highlights women artist and artisans in our area. There will be various exhibitors showcasing their products: custom jewelry, dolls, soap, jellies, jams, wreaths, clothing, and many other amazing gift ideas.
