FATZ® is pleased to host a pancake breakfast at the 3101 W. Market St. restaurant in Johnson City Tenn., on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, to benefit Jonesborough Middle School. From 7:30 - 10 a.m. FATZ® will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes to raise money to support the Jonesborough Middle School. Proceeds from the breakfast will go toward purchasing school supplies. Tickets for Short Stacks for Big Change, a pancake breakfast fundraiser, are $7 and can be purchased by contacting Pam Paige at (423) 753-1190 or at pagep@wcde.org. All attendees are encouraged to bring a donation to fuel FATZ® fundraising efforts for Jonesborough Middle School. FATZ® introduced the idea of Short Stacks for Big Change in 2009 with the specific purpose of making a difference and helping the local community grow where every restaurant is located. Since its inception, FATZ® has raised more than $1,500,000 for charities and community organizations. FATZ® opens daily at 11 a.m. serving lunch and dinner to regulars, but on Saturdays, FATZ® staff volunteer alongside members of the community to raise money for organizations ranging from local schools to The United Way.
