The City Youth Ballet of Johnson City will bring to stage Cinderella, her prince, a troupe of fairies, and other dancers in a children's ballet set for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the CYB studios. The ballet, part of CYB's popular Lollipop series, showcases classical ballet and a familiar story so that children can be exposed to this beautiful form of art. The ballet will include several excerpts from the full-length ballet of "Cinderella" plus a ballet lesson for the audience goers. Taylor Vanders, a senior CYB dancer, portrays Cinderella with Dylan Yacks, an ETSU student, as the prince. "This is an excellent chance for children to see ballet up close and enjoy its beauty," said Susan Pace-White, CYB's artistic director. Admission is $5 at the door.
