A public meeting to receive community input regarding the Beaver Creek Watershed Action Plan will be held on October 13, 2011 at 7:00 pm at the Bristol Chamber of Commerce, 20 Volunteer Parkway, Bristol, TN. This “action plan” is an initiative by Boone Watershed Partnership to reduce the pollutants: E. coli, sediment and nitrates coliform in Beaver Creek in Tennessee. This meeting is an opportunity for residents in the Beaver Creek Watershed to learn more about Beaver Creek and this initiative to clean it up. Public input is invaluable and will be incorporated into the final version of the plan. The Boone Watershed Partnership is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the water quality of the South Fork Holston and Watauga Rivers, and their tributaries, and Boone Lake.
