The Appalachian Rollergirls are an all female adult roller derby team in Boone N.C. The team is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that always works closely with a local charity or persons in need when they put on a competition as a way to give back to the Boone area community. This month, the undefeated Appalachian Rollergirls will be taking on the Carolina Bootleggers Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Holmes Convocation Center in Boone, NC. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Bakken Family, whose 11-year-old son, Braeden (Brady) has stage 3 Burkitts Lymphomia. The bout begins at 7:00pm, doors open at 6:00pm. Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Student tickets are available with a valid student ID. Fans 12 and younger are admitted free.
