Rape Aggression Defense Classes
You can learn the art of self-defense and survival through the Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D) course offered at the Northeast State Community College. The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive, women-only course that teaches awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. The course includes lecture, discussion and self-defense techniques, suitable for women of all ages and abilities. Bark Camp Lake Recreation Area, in the Clinch Ranger District of the Jefferson National Forest. From Coeburn, VA, take US Rt. 58A west 2.4 miles to "High Knob"sign (in Tacoma, VA). Turn left onto State Rt. 706 (Stone Mountain Rd.) and go 4 miles to "Bark Camp" sign. Turn left and go 0.3 miles to "Bark Camp Lake" sign (Bark Camp Rd.).
