Kerr Lake FFA Poker run / Bike ride

The Kerr Lake Firefighters Association is hosting a poker run/bike ride on 4/2/11. This will be an 80-100 mile ride around Kerr Lake and into Virginia. There will be a steak dinner afterwards. Registration is at 9 am at Brewer Cycles 420 Warrenton Rd. Henderson NC 27536 and the ride starts at 11 am. The entry fee is $20 per bike and $10 extra for a rider. Additionally, we will be presenting the Samuel Cole Williams Award to Penny McLaughlin of Tipton Haynes Historic Site. We invite the public to join our celebration. The members of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Women will host a fund raiser at Pizza Inn on West Market Street in Johnson City. The UMW will be your waitresses from 5-9 p.m. Our group will receive ten percent of the profits and all tips from the evening. Carry-out orders count towards our total profit for the night. Money raised from this event will go back into our community for various non-profit organizations. Please come and support our efforts.
