Filmed over three years, “Sick-Amour” chronicles multimedia artist Joel Tauber’s three-year love affair with an abandoned sycamore tree, which he ventures to revive and protect. This film screening is followed by a Q&A session with the artist and filmmaker himself. Free with Membership or General Admission.

Mel Chin: The Funk & Wag from A to Z & More

In “The Funk & Wag from A to Z”, originally curated by Ann Harithas for the Nave Museum in Victoria, TX, artist Mel Chin extracted images from all 25 volumes of the 1953 Funk & Wagnall’s Encyclopedia and re-edited them a collages, unleashing the potentiality of images trapped by historical context. Chin’s inspiring piece is showcased alongside new configurations of more recent works by the artist in this exhibition.
